A double Day School exploring how a social structure influences its visual art forms, as art influences social attitudes: this dialectic is tested through five periods of social structures, from the cave paintings of the Paleolithic, through the Renaissance, Modernism, Postmodernism to the recent period labelled as Altermodernism. Bring your dictionary because we’re going to identify five artforms related to those periods: invocational; evocational; provocational; revocational and convocational. And then we’ll predict the future…
